 | CuttingUnderwater cutting of metal and timber structures and pipes is possible with air/hydraulic tools and broco
 |
-
Broco cutting torch can cut through most materials, however it is best used for cutting cleaned metal surfaces. The torch uses a consumable rod and oxygen, ignited by a spark from power provided on the surface.
A range of air and hydrolic tools are available to cut through any material.
- Grinders
- Chainsaws
- Drills and Chisels
 | Dredging and Jetting
Removal of material from intake areas or structures for clearing or further remedial work.
 |
-
Dredging can be achieved by airlift, water venturi or trash pumps.
We can tailor solutions to remove sediments fro intakes, outlets or scours, with any of these methods.
To enable work such as pile cutting or inspections, material can easily be moved with a water dredge.
To sink objects such as mooring posts, a water jet will liquefy the sand. Water jets can also remove solid mud for dredging trenches.
 | Contamination Diving
Diving in contaminated environments requiring protection of the diver from harmful substances.
 |
-
Contaminated diving requires the use of fully enclosed suits and helmets.
Waters Marine has contracted to councils and abbatoirs for work in sewer treatment plants and aeration ponds.

 | Salvage
Using air lift bags, or rigging for cranes and barges, divers are able to recover objects from underwater.
 |
-
To bring an object to the surface from any depth, the use of air bags are utilised. Air bags are a very efficient tool for salvaging items from underwater, however further techniques and apparatus can be used in order to ensure the complete retrieval of the object is successful.
Rigging for cranes or barge can also be achieved, with underwater communications for control.
 | Cleaning
Divers are used to clean growth and debris from underwater screens and intakes.
 |
-
Cleaning allows for inspections of structures, and can improve operation of pumps. If it is underwater, it is likely to attract some form of growth.
We can schedule cleaning and inspections to be undertaken with established intervals.
 | Inspection
Inspections conducted underwater to provide condition reports, usually with photo or video.
 |
-
Our divers have the ability to inspect, photograph and prepare reports outlining condition assessment and remedial work required.
Photography options include…
- Digital Photography
- Mini DV
- Hardwire Video
